tutorial: low contrast coloring effect
By Colin Smith from PhotoshopCAFE.com
In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a low-contrast colorizing technique that is simple and stunning.
We begin with this Photograph from Fotolia.
Reduce the contrast. Use Image>Adjust>levels and Push the midrange to the left by sliding the middle triangle.
Create color by clicking at the bottom of the Layers panel and choosing a gradient fill adjustment layer.
Choose the rainbow colored gradient.
Change the angle and size to suit you’re your tastes. Drag inside the document window to move the gradient.
In the layers panel, change to color blend mode.
